Today, the full reality has hit. Meghan, our youngest daughter (living closeby in Indy) informed us that since she worked a couple of shifts a week in the Neonatal ICU at the local hospital, that it was likely that she could be a carrier of the COVID 19 virus. Anyone entering a hospital needs to consider that they had likely been exposed. That would mean that we, as seniors, should not be in contact with her. Our grand-daughters, as well, would likely be carriers, perhaps asymptomatic silent carriers, as children had fewer symptoms generally. NO. CONTACT. WITH. THE. KIDS. Really??
It was decided that all church programs must remain cancelled indefinitely. And our Governor announced that seniors especially were to stay home as much as possible, only essential trips to be made outside of their homes. It took the next week for those words to fully be absorbed and grasped. Our lives were in the process of dramatically changing.
